Landmark Leeds building snapped up at auction
The former Jubilee Hotel in Leeds is to begin a new chapter in its 113-year history after being snapped up at auction for £1.9m.
The property, which sold £400,000 above its asking price at Allsop’s October commercial auction occupies a prominent position on The Headrow and directly opposite Leeds Town Hall.
Built in 1904 by Thomas Winn & Sons, Jubilee Hotel’s red brick and Burmantofts terracotta building, with a copper-domed corner tower, is a landmark in the city centre.
