Green light for North Yorkshire business park development
Plans for a new rural business park on the outskirts of Settle in North Yorkshire have been approved.
Candelisa, the Skipton based UK and International property developer, has received planning permission for Anley Crag Business Park sits between the A65 and B6480.
It will include over 150,000 sq ft of hybrid business units, offices, leisure and industrial space along with 19 new homes, 30 per cent of which will be affordable housing.
Guy Taylor, Candelisa managing director, said: “We are delighted that the scheme has received approval from the Craven District Council planning committee and now look forward to creating an environmentally friendly, ethical and highly sustainable business community which will offer a combination of mixed employment space and new housing.
“It will provide opportunities for young talented professionals to live, work and remain in the rural north and help retain the vibrancy of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It will also be of major economic benefit to the area.
“We are aware of the outstanding natural beauty of this special part of the county and all necessary steps to protect this in terms of landscaping will be taken.
“There has already been a huge level of local and regional interest, and we will work closely with these parties and new enquiries to finalise the detailed design.”
Work on site is expected to start in Spring 2019.”
Candelisa is working on a number of other schemes including The Motor Works in Cononley. The £30m development includes the conversion of a former mill into 51 apartments as well as the construction of an additional 46 homes on the brownfield site. The firm also recently agreed terms with Swedish firm Nilorn for 15,000 sq ft of prime office and employment space on site.
