Construction firm wins contract for mushroom factory build

Wakefield-based construction firm Harris CM has been appointed to design and build the £4m growing facility in East Yorkshire for Hughes, a mushroom processing business from Northern Ireland. Work on the project, on an an 11 acre site at Garrick Farm near Howden, will also include new offices and a board room, and the first facility on the site is set to be operational by next month, with 70 jobs created initially and a further 30 employed by the end of the year.
