DIY giant Wickes pulls out of £6.5m North Yorkshire retail park
Developer Opus North has said it remains “extremely optimistic” about the future of its £6.5m retail park in Skipton following the announcement that Wickes has pulled out of the scheme.
The 35,000 sq ft retail park is located on part of the site of the Guyson's International factory on Keighley Road.
Andrew Duncan, managing director of Opus North, said: “This was not a reflection of the park itself, but of the downturn in the DIY sector. Wickes’ troubles have been well-documented.
