Second phase of Great Yorkshire Way ready for take off
Work has started on a direct link from the motorway network to Doncaster Sheffield Airport, as part of the next phase of the Great Yorkshire Way.
Coordinated by Doncaster Council and funded by the Sheffield City Region Investment Fund (SCRIF), the second stage of this key regeneration route will create a one mile connection from Bawtry Road to Hurst Lane.
This second phase of Great Yorkshire Way will cost approximately £10.55m with £9.1m contributed by SCRIF and the balance coming from Doncaster Council’s Capital Programme.
