Hunt begins for buyers for two development sites in former mining villages

Buyers are being sought for two development sites in former mining villages in West Yorkshire. GVA has been appointed by the Wakefield Property Partnership – a joint venture between Wakefield Council, Engie and Arcadis – to find a buyer for the sites in Hemsworth and Ryhill. The sites have been allocated as Housing Policy Sites by the council. At 6.2 acres and three acres respectively, the Hemsworth and Ryhill sites together have the capacity to provide more than 200 new homes. The villages lie to the south and south east...
