Work underway on multi-million pound transformation of historic coaching inn

Work has begun on a multi-million pound restoration of an historic coaching inn in Beverley town centre following its acquisition by a national pub group last year. The Beverley Arms dates back to the 1790s and was bought by pub group Daniel Thwaites in 2016. The company secured planning to redevelop the building to create a pub and restaurant along with 38 bedrooms, under its Inns of Character brand as part of a £6m investment.
