Race begins to build £33m Derby pool complex

Derby City Council has put the contract to build its new £33m swimming pool and leisure facility out to tender. Reports on trade title Construction Enquirer say that the Moorways swimming complex was initially expeced to cost £20m, but that the Council has agreed extra funding to cover development costs. The finished scheme will include a 10-lane, 50m pool designed to stage regional competitions, as well as a teaching pool, water play area, fitness suite, studios, cafe and further facilities....
