City Council throws out day nursery plans

Plans for a day nursery in Nottingham city centre have been refused by the City Council. The plans for the transformation of a former Oriental supermarket T 21-23 Derby Road were submitted by Rick Cobham Design, based in the Lace Market area of Nottingham, on behalf of a Mr Swali. The day nursery would have created four jobs at the 1,400 sq ft unit if the plans had been approved, and would have provided care for 10-15 children on the ground floor of the building.
