A radiation detection technology company with a Huddersfield research base has been awarded a $1.8m contract by the US Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), an agency of the US Department of Defense. Kormek, which focuses on the medical, security and nuclear markets, is set to develop a next-generation Radionuclide Identification Device to meet future military operational challenges.
