Plans for £5m data centre approved

Internet firm Connexin has received planning permission to build  in Hessle £5m data centre, creating 60 jobs. The firm, which announces its plans in April, said the centre had been specially designed to accelerate Hull in its race to become one of the UK’s leading smart cities. East Riding Council have now given the plans the green light and it is expected the facility will open in December,  creating jobs including engineers, technicians, sales staff and event managers.
