£42m flood scheme approved

Funding has been secured for a £42m upgrade to the tidal flood defence scheme in the Humber Estuary – improving flood protection to 113,000 properties. Led by the Environment Agency, the Humber Hull Frontages scheme will review and improve a 19km stretch of tidal flood defences in the Humber Estuary to protect homes and businesses at risk of flooding.
