Eighty jobs go after sudden closure of engineering firm

Eighty workers at a Hull engineering firm have lost their jobs after the sudden closure of the company. Hull Daily Mail reported that bosses gathered staff at Irving Utility Services Ltd last week and told them the base in Amsterdam Road in Sutton Fields Industrial Estate was shutting. Staff believe they will not be paid for the past month’s work and are each owed between £2,000 and £3,500.
