Greetings card firm’s losses reach £8m
Greetings card firm UK Greetings has endured another difficult year after recording pre-tax losses of £7.8m.
The Dewsbury-based group, which is owned by American Greetings, saw sales fall by nearly £10m to £142.3m in the year to February.
Pre-tax losses had been reduced from the previous year, when they reached £10.5m.
The group blamed the losses on "individual events which are not expected to be recurring", including the loss of a major customer and the restructuring that followed.
