Cream rises to the top as Arla returns to profit for first time in four years

Arla Foods, which employs around 1,000 staff in Leeds and produces Anchor butter, Lurpak and Cravendale milk, has returned to profit for the first time since 2012. Accounts just published at Companies House for the year to December 31, 2016, reveal that the farmer-owned dairy company, which has its UK headquarters at Leeds Valley Park, climbed back from a loss of £64.7m in 2015 to record a profit of £23.9m last year.
