The former boss of crisis-hit Provident Financial, Peter Crook, will still receive a pension worth £1.26m and has kept share awards currently worth around £500,000. He left the sub-prime lender after 10 years in charge when it revealed a profit warning last month that caused the company's share price to crash, wiping off £1.7bn in a single day.
