A family owned butchers, best known for their handmade pork pies of which Prince Charles is a fan, is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year. Appleton’s Butchers, which recently opened a shop in central York, also has shops in Ripon, Boroughbridge and Wetherby, and has created a one of a kind celebration pie using York Ham and rose veal.
