Waste management acquisition creates £48m group

Waste management Yorwaste has snapped up a Thirsk-based family business to create a £48m group. The deal, for an undisclosed sum, was agreed after negotiations between Yorwaste and the family-run Todd Waste Management Group, which is led by managing director Richard Todd. It will see 46 staff join the group, bringing numbers up to more than 350 staff. Todd also brings 1,200 business customers and combined turnover will reach £48m said the group.
