More home matches as football stadium’s residential development approved
The council has given a development surrounding the Sheffield United stadium the green light.
Planners applied back in February for permission to build a four-storey residential building and a ground floor 6,600 sq ft Blades ‘superstore’ on the site.
The project includes 45 flats at the Cherry and Shoreham Street site of Boundary Corner.
Architects Whittam Cox designed the new development with the aim of improving stadium facilities and the surrounding area, as part of a masterplan for the Sheffield United estate.
