Grade I-listed Wentworth Woodhouse, formerly one of the largest privately-owned stately homes in Europe, has been sold. A grant of £3.5m from the National Heritage Memorial Fund has provided the Wentworth Woodhouse Preservation Trust with the” final piece of the financial jigsaw” needed to purchase the property.
