Thousands of jobs promised at £105m business park

Work has begun on a Leeds business park which promises more than 2,500 jobs. Glentrool Estates Group has started on site at the Sherburn-in-Elmet site at Junction 42 of the A1(M). The 75-acre site will be called Sherburn2, and has been wholly funded and is owned by Glentrool. It is set to cost around £105m. It is adjacent to Sherburn Park, which is home to Debenhams, Sainsbury’s, Optare, Eddie Stobart, Kingspan and Legal & General Homes.
