MG expands UK dealership network with two new outlets

BIRMINGHAM-based car maker MG has extended its national dealership network with the opening of two new outlets.

Eric Stead, situated in Ecclesfield, in the north of the city has become the second of two dealerships in Sheffield, while the manufacturer has extended its presence in the south west with the opening of a new dealership in Gloucester.

Alongside the new MG3 3STYLE demonstrator, Eric Stead will also be displaying new petrol and diesel MG6 GTs and an MG6 Magnette.

Trevor Stead, managing director, Eric Stead (Garages) said trade had been brisk and the dealership had already taken orders for five MG3s.

Grant & McAllin, in Rother Valley Way is the city’s second dealership and covers the area to the south of Sheffield. It is planning to stage an opening event in January.  

In Gloucester, Warners UK, staged its opening event with guests including the captain of Gloucester Rugby Club, Tom Savage.

Chris Smart, Warners’ director and dealer principal, said: “It’s great that these well-known rugby characters are supporting our new MG venture.”

The Warners MG operation features a new four-car showroom on a site facing the A38 Eastern Avenue, Gloucester’s ring road.
