Legionnaires’ disease scare closes Wolverhampton hotel

A Wolverhampton hotel closed its doors after the discovery of legionella bacteria in its water. The Ramada Park Hall Hotel and Spa shut the hotel to overnight guests on Friday, ahead of the busy bank holiday weekend, after being served with a prohibition notice from the City of Wolverhampton Council. The notice banned the hotel from using its hot and cold water systems until a schedule of remedial works has been completed.
