Profit warnings at three-year-high for West Midlands’ listed companies

Profit warnings from listed companies in the West Midlands reached a three-year high in 2017, with the final quarter accounting for almost half of the those for the whole year. EY’s latest Profit Warnings report shows a total of 17 profit warnings were issued in 2017, up from 12 in 2016. The final quarter saw eight profit warnings, compared to just five in the previous quarter and three in the same quarter of 2016.
