ICC concludes three-year deal to stage tech conference
A European multinational technology corporation that makes enterprise software to manage business operations and customer relations has signed a three-year deal with the International Convention Centre in Birmingham to host its annual conference.
The agreement with the UK & Ireland SAP User Group will see the UKISUG Connect conference staged at the venue in 2019, 2020 and 2021.
The three-day event, which attracts around 900 delegates, will utilise the entire venue to facilitate networking, knowledge exchange and best practice amongst its members. The event will culminate with SUGFest, which offers delegates an evening of informal networking, food and entertainment.
Craig Dale, chief executive for UK & Ireland SAP User Group, said: “We are pleased to have signed a further three-year deal with the ICC for UKISUG Connect. We have been bringing this event to the ICC since 2013 and we can’t imagine it being anywhere else.
“Not only is the venue situated in an excellent location – which is important for our delegates – but we have had a consistent approach from our dedicated ICC team since our first event and it is clear they are completely committed, and passionate, about making our conference a success.
“The venue itself is fantastic. The ICC has invested heavily in improvements such as the Wi-Fi connectivity and in-hall technology over recent years, which continues to have an incredibly positive impact on our event. Each year we challenge the ICC team to bring innovative ideas around catering, production and SUGFest to the table and they never fail to impress us.”
Linda Best, ICC Associations Account Director, said: “We really enjoy having the SAP User Group at our venue, and hosting the committee and planning meetings in the run up to the event means we have the opportunity to input ideas throughout the whole process. We look forward to welcoming UKISUG Connect back and working with them on their upcoming conferences.”
