A re-enactment of a famous Anglo Saxon battle takes place this weekend as Wolverhampton keeps alive the memory of the defeat of the Vikings. The Battle of Wodensfield - also known as the Battle of Wednesfield and the Battle of Tettenhall - saw the Anglo Saxons and their allies defeat the Danes of Northumberland at what is now modern-day Wolverhampton on August 5, 910.
