Cowboy builder handed two-year prison sentence

A cowboy builder from Staffordshire who took cash in advance for unfinished construction work has been given a 24-month prison sentence. Scott Devlin, 44, of Robinson Close, Tamworth, trading as Magical Kitchens and Builders, pleaded guilty at Birmingham Crown Court to four offences under the Fraud Act 2006 and one offence under the Theft Act 1968 at a hearing in April.
