Record passenger figures for Birmingham Airport
Birmingham Airport has crowned off a busy week by announcing May was another record month for the facility.
More than 1.2 million people travelled through the terminal during the month – giving a 19.5% growth rate year on year.
In total 1,202,493 passengers flew through Birmingham – over 196,000 more than the same month in 2016.
The most significant rate of growth was on short haul services with an increase of 21.5% year on year. Long haul services saw a smaller 2.2% increase. May saw two bank holidays as well as school h...
