A Birmingham care provider has revealed further details of its plans to redevelop a former pub into an £8m new dementia-friendly nursing home. MACC Care has submitted a planning application to Birmingham City Council to develop an 80-bed care home on the site of the Hare and Hounds public house in Marsh Hill, Erdington. The completed scheme could provide 80 jobs for the area. The provider, which already runs five other elderly care facilities across the city, said the new facility would meet a local need.
