Work to start on hotel development on derelict site after 10-year delay
Craigleith Property Group will shortly begin work on a new 109-bed hotel development on a derelict site in Chester city centre after a delay of 10 years.
National planning and development consultancy Lichfields secured an amended permission for the development, in Forest Street, from Cheshire West and Chester Council.
The original permission was granted in 2007, but following the demolition of the offices which occupied the site, the project stalled during the credit crunch.
