Consultation to start on redevelopment of historic area of Bolton town centre
A document which will guide the multi-million pound comprehensive redevelopment of the long-neglected but historic Church Wharf area of Bolton town centre will open for comments today (Monday, January 22).
Plans to redevelop the area were hatched by Bolton Council more than a decade ago, but were shelved when the big recession hit.
Proposals for the area, a key part of the authority's £1bn town centre masterplan, include hundreds of homes and a new pedestrian route along the River Croal.
