Judge rules city council cannot wind up Chinatown company over near-£1m debt
Liverpool City Council has been told by a High Court judge it cannot get the company behind the £200m New Chinatown development wound up over a £950,000 debt.
Mr Justice Barling has delivered a ruling as the complicated legal battle between the council and the Chinatown Development Company continues.
It centres around plans for hundreds of homes and facilities for Chinese businesses into which dozens over overseas investors have poured money.
