Cladding replacement ongoing at nine towers post Grenfell disaster

Work is continuing on the development of a programme of works to replace cladding on nine high rise blocks in the Pendleton area of Salford, instigated in the wake of the Grenfell Tower fire disaster in London. The Department for Communities and Local Government has now informed Salford City Council that the cladding and insulation system used at the nine Pendleton blocks has failed its latest tests.
