£19m homes and shops scheme submitted to planners

A £19m mixed-use scheme designed by architect practice Hodder+Partners has been submitted to Manchester City Council for planning approval. If agreed, the 25 Rochdale Road scheme would bring 100 apartments and commercial space to the north east edge of Manchester city centre. The site is currently home to Realty Estates but the developer wants to demolish its current office and replace it with a modern high quality architectural building, part 15-storeys and part eight-storeys high.
