Alchemist to appeal licence decision as Nottingham search continues
Palatine, the owner of the Alchemist chain of bars, is set to appeal against Nottingham City Council turning down its licence application.
Alchemist had planned to open at 11-15 Pelham Street, and hoped to move in if and when All Saints moved out.
However, in April, Nottingham City Council turned down a licensing application for the fast-growing chain of bars, saying, if a Nottingham outlet was given the go-ahead to open, it could lead to alcohol-related crime in the city centre.
