Laing O’Rourke to delay £100m East Mids factory
Contracting giant Laing O'Rourke is delaying plans to expand its off-site manufacturing plant in Steetley on the Derbyshire/Nottinghamshire border - despite saying last September it had made the decision to further invest in the East Midlands.
The Government had promised to fund the new development, which would be capable of delivering 10,000 new homes year to the tune of £22m. More than 250 jobs would be created, Laing O'Rourke said.
