Corby future unclear as Tata announces UK sell-off
The future of Tata Steel Europe's Corby Works in Northamptonshire is at risk after its owners dramatically announced last night that it is to sell its entire UK operation.
Indian-owned Tata Steel Europe is blaming the cheap production of Chinese steel for its decision, which will affect 15,000 jobs across the UK, including the Port Talbot works which employs 4,000 people alone.
