Aggregate Industries awards multi-million pound contract for quarry extension
Runcorn-based engineering and services provider Bilfinger UK has won a multi-million pound contract with Aggregate Industries to design, supply, and install new electrical infrastructure at the Bardon Hill quarry extension project.
The deal forms part of a huge scheme at the Leicestershire site, which also includes installation of a new primary crusher and 4km of overland conveyors. The extension quarry will be operational in summer 2019 supplying over four million tonnes of aggregates per year to the UK construction industry.
