Plans for a drive-thru restaurant near Trent Bridge in Nottingham have been shelved. In March plans for a Tim Hortons Cafe and Bake Shop were lodged with Nottingham City Council on the site of a hand car wash on London Road. The application was withdrawn last week. Tim Hortons was set up by Tim Horton, a National Hockey League legend in 1964 in Ontario, Canada. It entered the UK in 2017 and has 17 venues across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
