Council loses patience with landowners as it heads to court

After three years of talks with landowners, Leicester City Council says it is heading to court so that it can buy a piece of land it says is hampering journeys in and out of the city centre. The Council will use compulsory purchase order powers to progress its plans for a new link road that would improve bus reliability and journey times out of the city centre.
