Local newspaper owner to cut jobs

Trinity Mirror, which owns the Nottingham Post, Leicester Mercury and Derby Telegraph, is cutting up to 40 jobs. Reports by Prolific North suggest that staff have been told this week that the company will be ending print production in Chester by October and establising a regional centre in the East Midlands. The move will mean redundancies in Leicester - as well as in Huddersfield, Newcastle, Coventry and Birmingham.
