Alan Hardy ready to swoop for Ilkeston FC
Notts County owner Alan Hardy has said he is in "detail discussions" with liquidators from Smith Cooper to take over the stricken club, saying his bid is "the only show in town".
Hardy registered a company called Ilkeston Town Football Club with Companies House on 30 June.
The deal will go through, he says, if Erewash Borough Council - the owners of the Robins' New Manor Ground - grant him a licence.
Talking to the Nottingham Post, Hardy said: "I am in very detailed negotiations with the liquidator," he said.
