The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has revealed plans for a new T20 tournament made up of eight city-based teams have moved a step closer. Last summer Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Northamptonshire were four of 15 counties to vote in favour of the change. Now, ECB chairman Colin Graves will ask the Executive Board to approve a change in the Articles of Association, allowing the creation of a new T20 competition with eight new teams.
