The Royal Bank of Scotland has provided a six-figure funding package to bring about a premises move for Derby practice, No 1 The Orthodontic Specialists.

The Mayor of Derby was in attendance at the grand opening on Wednesday 10th February to open the new practice.

The move from Littleover to larger premises on Station Road in Mickleover will create a two surgery practice to accommodate the practice’s NHS and private patients and will house their team of seven staff, including: two specialist orthodontists and five dental nurses.

The firm has completed an extension at the new premises which will offer improved disabled facilities, car parking and a digital x-ray suite along with the capacity to offer more appointments.

Dr Anne-Marie Smith, director of No 1 The Orthodontic Specialists, said: “Both Anjli and I have invested many years qualifying as specialist orthodontists. We are passionate about treating patients and creating fantastic smiles they will be proud of.

“We are among few orthodontists in Derby and confident the new practice will enable us to offer this service to more patients in the area and provide more appointment flexibility for our current patients. The Royal Bank of Scotland has vast experience in our field and they have added value to our business by giving advice and support throughout the deal process, which we are very grateful for.”

Spencer Ford, senior healthcare relationship Manager at Royal Bank of Scotland, said: “Supporting customers in the healthcare sector with their expansion plans is very rewarding and is testament to how our sector knowledge can add real value. Working with Anjli and Anne-Marie has been a positive experience and we wish them well as they welcome new and existing patients to the improved practice.”
