Two West Midlands buildings have been given listed status, helping push the National Heritage List up to 400,000 entries for the first time. The art deco Elmdon terminal at Birmingham Airport and a 200-year-old squatter’s cottage in Cleeton St Mary, Shropshire, have been added to the list, alongside the Nottingham headquarters of bicycle manufacturer Raleigh and Plymouth's Theatre Royal.
