1,000 homes scheme approved for Birmingham city centre
The £275m urban village scheme planned for the end of Birmingham city centre, New Monaco, has been approved by Birmingham City Council's planning committee.
The MCR Property Group development is for 1,000 homes at the former Monaco House site on Bristol Street. Construction will start at the end of this year and is scheduled to be completed in 2023.
Two towers of 29 and 26 storeys will be alongside 11 apartment blocks that are up to 10 storeys high. There will be 92 affordable private rental properties among the 1,009 units.
