Building firm fined £500,000 after worker has leg amputated

A Birmingham building contractor has been fined £500,000 after a worker had to have a leg amputated following an accident on a Staffordshire building site. North Staffordshire Justice Centre heard the man had been working on a site at Burntwood Business Park in October 2015. At the time of incident there were a number of tipper trucks delivering materials to the site and various ground workers were directing the drivers to different areas.
