Zombies on the decline in the Midlands
Zombie companies in the Midlands are on the decline, while the number of firms in the region showing acute signs of distress has also fallen, latest data suggests.
The proportion of zombie companies - the ones only paying the interest on their debts – dropped to 2% in December from 12% in April, according to figures from the regional branch of R3, the insolvency and restructuring trade body.
