Construction firm goes bats over new HS2 contract

A Black Country construction firm has secured an unusual contract as part of the development of the initial stage of the £56bn HS2 high speed railway. The £400,000 contract will see Oldbury-based Currall Lewis & Martin Construction construct a new multi-use bat house. The contract has been awarded by LM, the joint venture between Laing O’Rourke and J. Murphy & Sons.
