Housing plan for former Birmingham nursing home
Birmingham developer Seven Capital has secured planning permission to demolish a former nursing home in the city and redevelop the site for housing.
In a reversal of the current trend towards new care facilities, the developer's scheme for the site of the former Oaklands Nursing Home in Moseley was backed by the city's planning committee.
The scheme proposes the demolition of the nursing home and its replacement with 11, five-bed terraced and semi-detached three-storey houses, plus associated car parking and landscaping.
